Order lock dates and general info

Hey all! We're just popping in real quick with a reminder for the surveys, as well as a little update on the project progress. 

Locking Orders

We're gearing up to locking the orders made in backerkit, this means that you will be unable to add any more add-ons or otherwise adjust the pins you chose in 48 hours. Backerkit will also send out a reminder email for this. 

You will still be able to adjust your address information until we start shipping, so you don't need to fret about that! When we are ready to start sending out the rewards you will receive a reminder to double check your address as well. 

General Update

We've been hard at work behind the scenes! We're currently in the process of finetuning the pin artwork with our manufacturer, after which the samples will be made and we'll be able to give the go ahead to start production in full. 

We've also ordered our first add-ons! Both the sticker sheets and the embroidered patches are being produced right now, and we'll be ordering the other stickers and the prints soon. We'll be sure to post some pictures once things start coming in!

Survey reminder & Samples

Hey everyone! It has been nearly two weeks since the kickstarter concluded, and since we've sent the surveys out 90% of you have already filled them in, which is awesome!

Survey deadline

If you haven't gotten around to filling the survey out yet we want to ask you if you could take the time for this in the next four days, as we will need the final numbers so we can receive our final quote and put in the full order. 

You can still adjust your survey until the end of the month (as well as add additional add-ons), but after this time we will lock them so that we can prepare for packing. 

If you've lost or haven't received your survey email you can retrieve it here! 

Samples ordered!

We decided to order samples ahead of the kickstarter funds coming in, so we expect to have some pictures of the pins for you soon- so stay tuned, and again, thank you so much for all your support!

Hey everyone! As we mentioned in the last update, we have been looking at pledge managers to make the fulfillment of the project a little easier. We ended up biting the bullet and going for it!  We will be fulfilling our orders using backerkit, and the surveys will start going out later today. 

Please keep an eye out for them! We expect to be putting in the order for the pins on August 14th, and the surveys help us determine how much stock we should get.

On top of making everything a bit more clear, BackerKit allows us to offer extended pre-orders, and for our backers to easily claim the add-ons they pledged for. It will even offer the option to purchase additional add-ons with your order if you missed out during the campaign! 

What is the Survey for?

Kickstarter surveys are the tool that enable us to get the right rewards to the right people as smoothly as possible! The information that is collected varies, but in our case we will be asking you for your shipping address, and which rewards you would like to receive. 

What is Backerkit?

BackerKit is crowdfunding fulfillment software, which is just a fancy way of saying it's a tool that makes life easier for both the backers and organizers of a crowdfunding campaign. In short, we will use BackerKit to make everything run smoothly on the production- and shipping end of the campaign.

Because we will be using BackerKit to fulfill our orders, a few things will differ from the usual Kickstarter survey process. We'll do our best to lay out the changes below and minimize any confusion. 

What does this mean for you?

-The surveys that will start going out in the coming weeks will be done through BackerKit, so don't be alarmed if you receive an email with this name. It's ours!

You do not need to create any account to fill out your survey - simply click the survey link, fill it out, and we'll have everything we need to send the rewards your way.

- If you have pledged towards add-ons during the campaign, this will be reflected as additional credit in your survey. 

Once you have selected the pin designs you would like to receive, you will move to the add-on section of the survey. It will then show the amount you added onto your pledge at the top of the page. 

If you pledged €5 extra to receive a set of pins during the campaign, for example, it will look a little something like this:

 All you have to do now is add your desired add-on to your cart, and it will use this additional credit. You will not have to enter any additional payment information for this!

- If you did not get the chance to purchase add-ons during the campaign, you can do so now!
    Additional add-ons will be available in the second step of the survey! You can skip this step at the top of the page if you're not looking to do anything with add-ons 💖

If you add any add-ons beyond your original pledge, BackerKit will ask for your payment information. Your payment will be processed through Stripe (which offers the option for credit card or paypal). 

It is important to note that you will ONLY be charged for the Balance remaining at the bottom of the page! Your kickstarter pledge + shipping has already been paid for, it only shows this information so you can review it.

 - All backers have already paid for shipping during the campaign, which is reflected in your balance
     We will ask for your shipping address now, and send out a reminder to update it before we start shipping a few months from now. This gives you the chance to adjust your address if you move between now and October.

     If you have a friend who missed out on the Kickstarter but would still like to purchase the pins, they can do so through our Pre-Order store on BackerKit, which offers both credit card and PayPal as payment options. 

- Pre-order prices last until August 7th 

After this point we will start asking regular retail prices!

We did it! Star-Crossed Lovers has ended with all stretch goals unlocked! 🎉🎉🎉 What's next?

We did it! 🎉🎉🎉

It's been a wild 30 days, but the project has finally come to an end! We managed to unlock the final stretch goal just this morning, so everyone who pledged for two pins or more will receive a sticker sheet with all of the designs on top of all other freebies✨

 The art for the first free sticker is also done  👀  All the more reason to party!

We want to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of support you have given us over the past few weeks ❤️ This has been our first kickstarter and we were (and are still) absolutely blown away by how well it went. We honestly never expected to get so much traction (which is why we had to scramble to think of many new stretch goals, oops). 

What happens next?

There is a few things that will happen in the coming weeks. 

Now that the campaign has ended, your cards will be charged for the amount you pledged. It will take about two weeks for the funds to get to us, but we won't be sitting still in the meantime: 

Though we will need a moment to sit down and finalize them, the surveys will be going out as soon as possible (likely in the coming week). We are currently still looking into different options (such as backing kits) to make fulfillment go more smoothly, and will update you on what to expect before the surveys go out. 

While we wait for the kickstarter funds to arrive we will be ordering samples of the pins, which we hope to be able to show to you soon!

The full order will be placed as soon as we receive the funds. In the meantime we will be finalizing the art for the embroidered patch, as well as the sticker sheet 👀

Sticker Sheet stretch goal & Add-on reminder! ✨

Hey all 💖 A lot of you participated in the poll we put out last week (thank you!) and the results are in!

As such, our final stretch goal is now set!

If we hit our last goal of €13.000, every backer who pledged for two pins or more will receive a free sticker sheet with all kickstarter designs on it 🎉

While we're figuring out a way to make the freebies available on our Etsy store later on, the easiest way to get your hands on them is by increasing your pledge while the kickstarter is still going, 

We're entering our final three days, so if you want to order some extras or want to get your hands on the mini pins please make sure to add them to your pledge before the kickstarter concludes! You can specify which add-ons you would like with your order in the survey we will send out next week.
